Night A short loop around Daci Temple and in.

Chengdu
The Temple House, two courtyard rooms, next to Daci Temple. Chunxi Road is outside the gate. Pandas are a morning animal. A noon ticket is a sleeping bear.
Thursday 18 March — pandas, then tea
Morning Research base at opening. Ninety minutes. Leave when they sleep.
Afternoon People's Park teahouse. Then Kuanzhai for the buildings, not the trinkets.
Evening Mapo tofu, Zhong dumplings, peppercorn chicken. Chunxi Road is next to the hotel if anyone still wants shops.
Night Courtyard.
Friday 19 March — the unhurried one
Morning A half-day cooking class for five. Book it. This is the unique thing.
Afternoon If it ends early, tea for Deb and IFS for the girls. Not a second mall.
Evening Skip the face-changing show unless they ask. Better: a private room and the dishes from the class.
Night Pack. Tomorrow is a short train and a vertical city.
Saturday 20 March — to Chongqing
Morning Breakfast in the courtyard. No sightseeing.
Afternoon Train, about 1 to 2 hours. Straight to the river apartment or Niccolo.
