Xi'an
Sofitel Legend People's Grand, two rooms, inside the old city. Pit 1 at opening. The faces are the reason for this city. Walk the wall. Do not just photograph the gate.
Monday 15 March — the army
Morning Van at 8. Pits at opening. Pit 1, the chariots, then leave. No warrior factory.
Afternoon Shaanxi History Museum if the tickets exist. If not, lunch near the Bell Tower.
Evening City wall from south to west while the light goes.
Night A quieter dinner than last night, or the hotel. Bed.
Tuesday 16 March — the city, slowly
Morning Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, one hour. Then a ceramics studio if one will take five. That is the unique hour.
Afternoon South gate shops: paper cuts, a small piece of cloisonne. A tailor only if someone wants a jacket. No mall.
Evening Skip the Tang show unless the girls ask. A private room: biang biang, paomo, cucumber salad.
Night Pack for grey, not frozen. Chengdu is warmer and damp.
Wednesday 17 March — to Chengdu
Morning Slow breakfast. Wall only if yesterday was the museum.
Afternoon Train, Xi'an North to Chengdu East, 3 to 4 hours. Watch the Qinling.
